From 13 to 18 April 2026, the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group were held in Washington. On the sidelines of these gatherings, a discreet but deeply meaningful moment took place: the Central African Republic handed the digital platforms of the African Caucus over to The Gambia. IKOUĒ was there, alongside the Central African delegation, to accompany this handover.

A vision: build once, pass it on to all

When the African Caucus committee selected us, we shared a simple conviction. Every year, the host country started from scratch to build the meeting’s digital setup. We wanted to break with that logic: to design a set of reusable tools, then donate them to the organisation, so that each new edition inherits a solid foundation instead of reinventing everything.

From Bangui to Banjul

In 2025, we designed and operated the entire digital setup of the African Caucus in Bangui: official site, registrations, social media and email communication. In 2026, the presidency of the Caucus passes to The Gambia, which will host the meeting in Banjul. The time had come to pass the baton.

The handover in Washington

It was the Central African Minister of Finance and Budget, Hervé Ndoba, who carried out the official transfer of the platform to The Gambia, to his counterpart Seedy Keita, Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs. A concrete gesture that gives shape to the commitment to place these tools, free of charge, at the service of the African Caucus.

Much more than a website

What we are handing over is not just a site. It is a way of doing things: pooling knowledge, avoiding redundant efforts, and letting each host country focus on what matters, the substance of the discussions and the decisions for Africa. It is also, for us, a source of pride: seeing Central African expertise serve cooperation between African nations.

Alongside The Gambia for 2026

Our commitment does not end with handing over the keys. We remain available to support The Gambia in organising the 2026 edition of the African Caucus, so that the transition happens smoothly and the platform keeps growing, edition after edition.

Conclusion

From the digital work in Bangui to the handover in Washington, the same conviction guides us: Central African talent has its full place in the continent’s major gatherings, and technology can become an instrument of solidarity between African nations. We thank the Central African Government, through the Ministry of Finance and Budget, for its renewed trust, and we wish The Gambia every success for the African Caucus 2026 in Banjul.
